Group Captain John Bussey, OBE (1895-1979} was in charge of Reconnassance for the British Royal Air Force during WWII. As Directorate of Overseas Surveys he had an Antaractic glacier named after him[1]: the Bussey Glacier.
He was on board the the Imperial Airways flying boat which crashed in 1939.
