Welcome to my talk page!

Messages to be sent to me directly go on this page, thank you.

A few rules:

1. If you have come here to insult/threaten me, the offensive message will be removed as soon as possible, I have already put up with an awful load of emasculation in my lifetime, so I don't need to deal with it anymore.

2. Do not vandalize or you will be given a warning and possibly banned from contributing.

3. No profanity, please, try to keep this page clean from nasty words, any swearing/cursing will be censored if not removed.

4. No repetitively duplicating the exact same message on this page, this will result in a warning.

5. Most importantly, have good faith!

A kitten for you!

Hi, and thank you for creating the animal articles! You could apply for the autopatroller right at WP:PERM after you have created a substantial amount of articles, say 50.

FrankDev (talk) 03:43, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello FrankDev, thank you very much for this adorable little feline, I have been enjoying my time creating articles on gastropods, mollusks and other miscellaneous marine animals. I would perhaps like to apply for autopatroller rights on Wikipedia, considering I have created over 150 articles believe it or not! I am willingly ready to create even more articles, I am currently working on the Eulimidae family of gastropods at the moment, and I am expecting to complete all the species within that family within the next two months, so I shall keep proactive on that. Thank you and best wishes! The whimsical enigmatic Solo Toady! 03:52, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wow

Hello SoloToady. I can't believe how many gastropod articles you are managing to make! Well done and thank you on behalf of the rest of the project. Invertzoo (talk) 22:19, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Invertzoo and thank you very much for complimenting on my articles!
Its been a while since I contacted any other members of Wikiproject Gastropods, I have mainly been contributing alone over the last few days. I personally think I have improved in my capabilities on my gastropod articles, considering the amount of time it takes to create 5-10 odd articles every day. I have also doubled (if not tripled) my progress mainly because I have a lot to do (especially in the Eulima genus) and I do not want to end up working on the Eulimidae family for the next 5 months. I know Ganeshbot could make these articles in a few kiloseconds or so, but I thought I could go to the efforts to complete them so I could help all the other members of the Wikiproject. Don't forget I am also working on the Pyramidellidae family as well, so that is a whole different part of my big To-Do List. Like I said earlier, it was very nice of you to compliment me on my new articles, I am expecting to create another 400 articles in the next 2 months so I still have plenty more to work on. I hope for the best, thank you and happy editing! The whimsical enigmatic Solo Toady! 09:09, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Very best to you too SoloToady! Invertzoo (talk) 00:56, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Eulima

I think I've got the gist of it and made 2 stubs. If you don't mind, I could make a few more. Christopholes (talk) 07:25, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I had a look at these two new Eulima articles and they are satisfactory in my opinion, it is entirely up to you on how many articles you want to create, I am most certainly not bothered in the slightest if you created articles on species within this genus of Caenogastropoda. It would be nice if you could lend me a helping hand with this topic (I've been working on this for a few weeks now). Speaking of which, if you continue to create articles within this category, I would personally recommend joining Wikiproject Gastropods, a fun, collaborative group of users who contribute to articles about sea snails, you don't have to be a malacologist, taxonomist or even be a professional user on Wikipedia, just giving out a suggestion, I'm not forcing you to join, It's entirely up to you. Thanks, and happy editing! The whimsical enigmatic Solo Toady! 07:38, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you I'll check it out tomorrow. Christopholes (talk) 07:40, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just a small reminder

Hello Solo, this is just a reminder to please put the project template onto the talk page as you complete your stubs. Thanks so much. Invertzoo (talk) 13:23, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Invertzoo, for reminding me about inserting the project templates into the Eulimidae articles. No worries, I shall remember to do this next time I create another article, thank you for you're kind words! The whimsical enigmatic Solo Toady! 12:58, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Solo Toady, and thank you for your contributions!

An article you worked on Eulimostraca indomatta, appears to be directly copied from http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=532819. Please take a minute to make sure that the text is freely licensed and properly attributed as a reference, otherwise the article may be deleted.

It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on Eulimostraca indomatta if necessary.Template:Z120 MadmanBot (talk) 08:41, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Question

Should synonymous taxa be redirects? Christopholes (talk) 16:42, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Quite a good question, I don't generally think synonymized taxa should be exclusive Encyclopedic material, however I am not entirely sure. If you would like to discuss this further I suppose you could suggest these redirects to JoJan at his talk page, for further recommendations of improving Wikiproject Gastropods. In my personal opinion, I don't see why synonymous taxa can't be redirects to articles, but make sure to ask JoJan for permission before going ahead and redirecting these entirely, it may be successful of disastrous, I am uncertain at the time being. Then again, I did not construct the overall design of the gastropod articles or have anything to do with the creation of the Wikiproject, I am just a standard contributor of generally low importance. Cheers! The whimsical enigmatic Solo Toady! 07:33, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, thank you I shall go ask. Christopholes (talk) 15:27, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Haliella stenostoma, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=139825.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

Disambiguation link notification for April 2

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Melanella atlantica, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Santa Helena (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
