History

2007–2012: Early career

Adio Marchant was previously the co-vocalist with the Manchester six-piece Kid British. The band released five EPs between 2009 and 2012 before splitting with a final farewell gig in Manchester December 2012.

2013–present

His debut EP ‘Aesthetics’ was released in June 2013, with lead track Rivers being iTunes Single of the Week.

Follow up EP ‘Drowning Butterflies’ released in November 2013 featured the single ‘Love More Worry Less’, Adio recounts the meaning behind the track as “There’s definitely an element in there where I’m talking to myself. But I’m always over-thinking. I got to the point last year where I thought, ‘Do you know what? You’re doing what you want to do. Go for it, enjoy it.’ You can spend all your time looking forward to things, anticipating them. But you have to enjoy that moment. Now. I’m doing what loads of people dream of doing.”[2]

Third EP ‘Where Did The Love Go’ is his most recent, released in April 2014, with lead track Where Did The Love Go featuring on BBC Radio 1’s playlist.

Bipolar Sunshine attended SXSW 2014 for the first time and played several shows during the week long music conference. He returned to the UK to start his headline UK tour with his London XOYO show sold out 5 weeks in advance.[3]

His debut album is nearing completion, and will be released later this year.

Bipolar Sunshine is headlining O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in October 2014.
