Tim Maculan (born 20 April 1963) is an American actor,[1] primarily working on television.

Well known in the entertainment industry for his quick wit, wry sense of humor and poignant character work, actor Tim Maculan has sustained a career in theatre, film, television, voice overs and commercials for over twenty years. He’s best known professionally for his reoccurring role of the compassionate Father Jack for all five seasons of the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning HBO series Six Feet Under and the acerbic, riotous waiter on the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning CBS comedy, Cybill. Tim’s character earned a GLAAD media award nomination in 1997. In and around his work on these two iconic television programs, Tim has guest starred in over thirty television shows including the critically acclaimed Dexter, Grey’s Anatomy, Entourage, The Drew Carey Show, Friends, The Larry Sanders Show, Married With Children, and Aaron Spelling’s Love Boat: The Next Wave. Some of Tim’s film work includes Spiderman 3 (Dir. Sam Raimi), Inside Out (with Steven Weber), Matchstick Men (Dir. Ridley Scott), Duplex (with Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore).

Theatre

A founding member of The Actors Space, Inc. in New York, Tim appeared in their revival of A Hatful of Rain and an earned critical acclaim for his work in Found a Peanut – a show that would launch his career in television when it was remounted in Los Angeles, inviting Tim to move west. Though he quickly began working in television, he never let his true love for the theatre wan, creating the role of Ezra Twain in the world premiere of Diva at La Jolla Playhouse, working in a national tour of Beauty and the Beast as Cogsworth, a production of South Pacific for the North Carolina Theatre of Raleigh and turning in lauded performances throughout the Los Angeles theatre community. In May 2012, he starred in Gary Garrison’s provocative collection of plays, Verticals and Horizontals at the Cherry Lane Theatre in New York City.
