Ungli is an upcoming Indian film produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions directed by Rensil D'Silva, starring Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Dutt, Randeep Hooda and Neha Dhupia.[3]. The film is scheduled to release on 28 November 2014.[4] The soundtrack was released on 10 November 2014 and two songs Dance Basanti and Pakeeza made to top chart positions. [5]

Plot

Nikhil, Abhay, Maya, Goti and Kalim are five friends. They begin their friendship when they meet at a gym. When the friends find that the system is too corrupt to give them justice, they form a gang called Ungli. They kidnap and take government babus to task. They teach a lesson to the Head of the RTO. They shame the Head of the BMC. And they even take on the might of the police.They do all this in a manner which makes fun of these departments and officials.[6]

However, the Police Commissioner is being pressured by the Chief Minister and the Government to put an end to these vigilantes who have taken the law into their own hands. ACP Kale takes on the case and begins to track down Ungli Gang.

The music of Ungli has been composed by Salim-Sulaiman, Sachin-Jigar, Gulraj Singh, Aslam keyi.

The song "Dance Basanti" was the first single track starring Shraddha Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi released on 28 October 2014.[7] The song is sung by Vishal Dadlani and Anushka Manchanda, composed by Sachin-Jigar with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. "Pakeezah" the second single track picturised on Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut released on 3 November 2014. The song is sung and composed by Gulraj Singh with the lyrics of Manoj Yadav.

The soundtrack comprises of 5 tracks. The soundtrack was released on 10 November 2014. The title track, "Ungli Pe Nachalein" released on 11 November 2014 with lyrics from Kumaar.
