Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar (Urdu: خلیل الرحمان قمر) is a playwright of Pakistani television.[1][2] His notable work includes “Boota from Toba Tek Singh”, aired from PTV World and “Landa Bazar (TV series)” (aired on PTV).[3] His recent work “Pyarey Afzal” is the top rated drama of the time and it breaks all the previous records made by “Humsafar” and “Zindagi Gulzar Hai”. Personal life

He belonged to a poor family and had a passion for writing but, his father was not happy with his writing habit and wanted him to pursue a career. To fulfill his fathers wish he became a banker but was so dejected to give up his love for writing that for many years he did not write his name in Urdu.[9] Drama Sadqay Tumhare is an autobiographical screenplay, a story about his own life.
