Leslee claims that Pandey had asked for money to be featured in the documentary but she refused as she considered it to be immoral. Leslee said that even after persuading him for a long time, he did not cooperate. Leslee also went ahead and told him about accused’s comments about Pandey, so as to persuade him to come up with his side while he featured in the documentary,, but he refused to be a part of it. Leslee Udwin is a British filmmaker.[1] She was born in 1957[2] in Savyon, Israel. Her father was Jewish.[3] She is an actress and producer. She started her production company Assassin Films in 1989.[4] She produced the documentary India's Daughter and the films West is West and East is East(1999), and has also acted in various films and television series.[5][6][7][8] She lives in London, UK.
Udwin started her career as an actor and initially acted in a TV show Eldorado. Udwin's well known work includes East is East, West is West and Mrs Ratcliffe's Revolution.
