The umbrella conger, Gnathophis umbrellabius, is a conger of the family Congridae, found on soft bottoms of the continental shelf of the southwest Pacific Ocean. Length is up to 45 cm.

The umbrella conger is similar to other conger eels including the silver conger, the small differences being an overall green colouring above instead of olive-grey, a more slender body, and a longer tail. The large eyes are silver, as are the gills.
