Minnesota State Highway 33, also known as Trunk Highway 33 or TH 33, is a highway in Minnesota which serves as an important link connecting two of the state's major north-south arteries. Only 19 miles in length, Highway 33 connects Interstate 35 at Cloquet with U.S. Route 53 on its way north to the Iron Range and the Canadian border at International Falls, Minnesota and Fort Frances, Ontario. By taking Highway 33 between those two routes, traffic can bypass a lengthier and more severely graded route through the city of Duluth.

The highway is constructed as a four-lane expressway except for a short distance through Cloquet, where it is located on a city street. In downtown Cloquet the highway runs past the R.W. Lindholm Service Station, the only service station designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, a structure now on the National Register of Historic Places.[1]
