Template:New unreviewed article Lalamove by Easyvan is a logistics company that lets users get deliveries completed with an app. Lalamove is widely known as ‘Uber for logistics’ because delivery requests are routed to drivers who use their own vehicles.[1]
Beginning in 2014, lalamove expanded internationally first to Singapore[2] and then Bangkok.[3]
As of September 2015, it plans to operate in 20 Chinese cities.[1]The service prides itself for tailoring specially to the logistics situation in the cities they are in.[4][5]
History
Lalamove was founded in 2013 by Chow Shing-Yuk and is headquartered in Hong Kong.[6] It is currently partnering with Ikea and recently with Google. [7]
In January 2016, lalamove announced that they have 2 million deliveries across 15 cities and expanded their fleet to 30,000 couriers. [7]
Funding
In January 2015, lalamove raised US$10 million in series A led by Crystal Stream Capital. [8]
In September 2015, lalamove raised US$10 million in a bridge round led by MindWorks Ventures, Appworks and Crystal Stream.[9]
