Ensygnia is a UK-based technology company. The company specialize in identity management, mobile payments and cyber security. Ensygnia's primary product is Onescan, a transaction and identity management platform.

History

Ensygnia operations began in 2012. In 2013 the company secured $3.3 million in seed funding[1] and successfully applied for and received two UK patents.[2] Ensygnia was also one of 17 start-ups accepted into the London-based Telefonica funded Wayra Academy for the year 2013.[3] At the end of 2013, Ensygnia acquired Mustard Digital and its retail site Snaptaps.[4]

In 2014, Ensygnia won 'Best Software Solution' at the Mobile Industry Awards,[5] reached the final on the Innotribe start-up challenge[6] and became a start-up in residence at BBC labs.[7]

Horizon 2020 is an EU initiative that funds high-potential innovation through a dedicated SME instrument. In 2015, Ensygnia were one of only 9 British companies to win a grant award. [8]

In June 2015, Ensygnia was listed as one of the best funded (B2B) Commerce Enablers in Europe. [9]

A list of the top 10 major players in Mobile Payments in the UK listed Ensygnia as 6th after Apple, Paym, Google, PayPal and Zapp.[10]
