Damsel is an upcoming western comedy period film directed by David Zellner,[1] and co-wrote by David Zellner and Nathan Zellner. It stars Robert Pattinson and Mia Wasikowska in lead roles.[2][3]

Plot

A businessman travels West to join his fiancée in the mountains.

Cast

Production

David and Nathan Zellner assembled the crew of five principal cast members along with crew of 27 and 70 extras with filming schedule of 32 days. Most of the film was done in Utah which provided tax incentive for the production.[4] In an interview, Pattinson described the film as "a kind of slapstick comedy."[5]

Filming

Principal photography began from 11 July 2016 in Utah at Wasatch Range and Summit County.[6] Filming moved to Oregon in late August 2016. Scenes were filmed with Pattinson and Wasikowska at Oregon Coast on 25 August 2016,[7] after that filming was wrapped.[8]

Music

In February 2017, David Zellner confirmed via an Instagram post that The Octopus Project are doing the score for the film.[9] In March 2017, Pattinson himself confirmed that he is also contributing to the music of the film.[10]
