The dwarf catshark has a short and slender [[caudal peduncle]]. The head and trunk are broad, and the [[anal fin]] base is long.
The dwarf catshark has a broad rounded snout. It is found on the upper [[continental slope]]. Little is known of its biology.


Coloration is pale brownish body with orange brown spots, and an indistinct brownish blotch beneath the eye. Between each dark saddle on the [[dorsum|dorsal]] midline is a cluster of spots.
