Save A Train is an Israeli startup that provides online booking platform for train travel in Europe. It sells train tickets, without booking fees, on its website. It was founded in early 2016 by Udi Sharir, as a website that saves money on train tickets in France.[1][2]

History

Save a train was part of a venture studio name 3d-innotech and operated in Ramat hasharon.[3]

Save a train did a POC in France helping travelers save money on their train ticket.

Train tickets prices in Europe fluctuate constantly. Users that bought tickets  uploaded their ticket details to  save a train  website and the system searched for a cheaper price. when a cheaper price was detected, the traveler was informed and offered to cancel and re-book the ticket at a cheaper price.[4][5][6]

Save a train is a certified partner of TrenItalia and NS international. Save a train is planned to offer tickets in France, Germany, Spain,Austria, Switzerland, UK and more. during the second half of 2018

Booking fees

Save A Train does not charge any fees from travelers. Prices are identical to the train operators in Europe.

Languages

The service is available in German, Italian and English and is expected to have Chinese, Arabic, French, Spanish, Hebrew, Japanese and Russian in the first quarter of 2018.

Available payment methods

Travelers can pay on train tickets with credit-card, Paypal, bitcoin and will offer in the second quarter of 2018 more options for alternative payments.
