Brandon 'Scoop B' Robinson (born 28 May ) more commonly known as "Scoop B," is an American sportswriter, journalist, sports analyst, columnist, editor and podcast host.

Robinson is an entertainment and sports writer and on-air personality most notably with CBS Sports Radio[1] and The Source magazine.[2] He hosted the CBS Sports Radio Show, Brown and Scoop.[3][4]

He was named managing editor and columnist at Respect. magazine in 2016. [5] He became Senior Writer at Basketball Society in 2018. [6]

Education

As a child, he attended the Bruce Beck and Ian Eagle Sports Broadcasting Camp. He is an alum of Don Bosco Preparatory High School, where he was sports editor of the Ironman newspaper. [7]

He completed his Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Eastern University[8] and graduated with a master's degree in journalism from Hofstra University.[9] He was sports editor at Eastern's Waltonian newspaper and public address announcer of Eastern's soccer, volleyball, basketball and lacrosse teams. As a graduate student at Hofstra, he was a television sports anchor at Hofstra Today and sports radio contributor to WRHU.

Robinson was a staff writer at The Source. Notably, he covered Adam Silver's banning of former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald T. Sterling [21]

CBS

In 2015, Brandon 'Scoop B' Robinson launched the CBS Sports Podcast Brown and Scoop and became a regular contributor to CBS Local Sports and CBS Sports Radio.[22] His reporting has been the source of several major sports stories including stories seen on media television shows such as CBS This Morning[23] and TMZ Sports.[24][25][26]

Scoop B Radio

In 2016, Brandon 'Scoop B' Robinson and DJ Manny El launched, independently produced, Scoop B Radio.[27]

RESPECT magazine

Robinson was managing editor and columnist of Respect. magazine. [28] His writing tackled the intersection of sports, entertainment, lifestyle and politics. He's written about media's fascination with O.J. Simpson and Donald Trump. [29]

Basketball Society

Scoop B became senior writer of Basketball Society March 2018. [30]

Personal

Robinson's interest in sports began as a child while working in his family's shoe business in Harlem, New York City. [31]
