Abhishek Gowda (born 4 October 1993) is an Indian actor working in the Kannada film industry. He is the son of popular actor-politician Ambarish and actress Sumalatha.[1]
Having credited as a presenter in the film Operation Antha (1995), Abhishek is set to appear as a lead in the film Amar (2019) produced by Sandesh Nagaraj.[2]
Career
Abhishek's name was first featured as a presenter in 1995 for the film Operation Antha starring his father Ambarish in the lead and directed by Upendra.[3] After completing his graduation from the Oxford university, Abhishek expressed his interest towards acting with his parents.[4] Producer Sandesh Nagaraj approached Abhishek and offered him a film by considering Chethan Kumar or Nagashekar of Myna fame as director. The latter was finalized and there were around seven working titles for the film before fixing it as Amar.[5]. The film is under production as of January 2019.
Personal life
Abhishek was born on 4 October 1993 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India to actors Ambarish and Sumalatha. He has graduated from the Oxford University in California.[6]
