Briana Lane (born October 27, 1985) is an American actress[1] and musician.[2]
Acting
She is known for her recurring roles on NBC's The New Normal, Freeform's Switched at Birth,[3] Freeform's Young & Hungry[4] and her lead role in Disney's Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3.[5]
In 2020, she can be seen in Blumhouse's film Run Sweetheart Run, indie One Nation Under God[6] and heist feature12 Hour Shift[7]. Other notable roles include her lead role as Roxanne in Nerdist's Real Housewives of Horror and recurring roles on NBC's Extant and Freeform's Baby Daddy.[8]
Music
In 2018, she released an album with her band, Winslow[9] with bandmate Kate Miner. The duo is signed with Kobalt under AWAL Records.[10]
Hosting and writing
Lane got her start as a writer for CBS interactive's Danny Bonaduce Life Coach after graduating college which led her to do on-camera hosting work for the network.[1] She has hosted for E! News, MSN, and CBS. In 2015, she co-anchored a comedy news show called The Desk for Uproxx under Woven Digital.[11] In 2012, she wrote a comedy pilot with Brianne Davis and shot the spec with Jorge Garcia.[12]
Personal life
Lane was born in Los Angeles, CA and attended Marymount High School.
She graduated with a BA from UCLA's School of Film, Theater and Television with an emphasis in musical theater.[13]
Lane is a member of UNICEF's Next Gen and a longtime supporter of The Arthritis Foundation.[14]
