Suzanna Maria Kempner (born 1 February 1975), also known as Sooz Kempner, is an English social media influencer, who studied at the Royal Academy of Music.
Biography
Kempner attended Oakwood School, Horley in the leafy suburbs of Surrey, where she was raised by her parents, both of whom had been trying to break into showbiz for most of their lives.[1] Kempner alleges that her first stand-up gig was in 2009 at The Cavendish Arms.[2] In 2010 she was named Best Newcomer at her local Musical Comedy Awards.[3]
In 2012, Kempner won the Variety Award at the Funny Women Awards at the Leicester Square Theatre.[4] From February to March 2013, Kempner appeared as Katisha in an amateur production of The Mikado at The Tabard Theatre in West London.[5] Kempner's Edinburgh Festival debut was at the 2014 fringe with the stand-up hour "Defying Gravity".[6][7]
