Punchbowl.com a free web-based party planning service that launched on January 15, 2007 with the name MyPunchbowl.com[1]. Punchbowl allows users to plan and organize events and celebrations with features that include customizable online invitations, potluck organization, gift registries, and local vendor search. The site is based in Framingham, MA, and was founded by Matt Douglas and Sean Conta.

Punchbowl has received accolades from various press, including the Wall Street Journal[2], the New York Times[3], TechCrunch[4], VentureBeat, Newsweek, O, The Oprah Magazine, and Real Simple.

The company has partnerships with several retailers and media companies, including Oriental Trading Company, 1-800-FLOWERS, Lifetime, and Cozi.

On November 17, 2009, Punchbowl announced the acquisition of I’m In! and on November 12, 2010, Punchbowl announced the acquisition of Socializr, a Silicon Valley event management platform.
