Untitled

I'm Not Dead is the fourth album from pop singer, P!nk. The album was released in the USA and Canada on April 4, 2006; it was released a day earlier in most other international territories. The album sold 126,000 copies in its first week which tied the first week performance of M!ssundaztood (in terms of units sold). However, it failed to improve upon her 2003 album, Try This, where 147,000 units were sold in its first week. Even though it didn't sell so much in its first week as her previous album, the first single "Stupid Girls" gained a lot of discussion. P!nk even attended The Oprah W!nfrey Show to discuss the "Stupid Girl Epidemic".

Album information

"Stupid Girls" is the album's first single, reaching the top 15 in the USA Billboard chart, and the top ten in the UK and Australia. P!nk also shot a video for "U + Ur Hand," which is expected to be the 3rd single. The album was leaked to file sharing networks on March 25, eleven days before its release date, most likely from a promotional CD. The album was originally titled Long Way to Happy, after the song of the same name, but Pink changed her mind as she thought I'm Not Dead made a stronger statement that this was a comeback album. On March 28th the album was released on the internet on MTV's website under their section called The Leak, where you can listen to an album one week before it comes out in stores. On the album, Pink worked with producers Billy Mann, Josh Abraham, Swedish hit maker Max Martin, and R&B producer Rodney Jerkins better know as "Darkchild" among others, as well as Luke Gottwald, Butch Walker, Mike Elizondo, co-writing the tracks, which range from the intrinsically personal to political.
