Layla El.

Layla El, born June 25th, 1978 in London, England (she is of English and Moroccan heritage), where she was raised, and currently resides in Miami, Florida, where she works as a dancer for the Miami Heat in the NBA. She also danced with Kanye West at the MTV Video Music Awards. Layla is the winner of the 2006 WWE Diva Search.

In the 2006 WWE Diva Search, competing for $250,000 and a World Wrestling Entertainment contract, Layla gained one-week's worth of immunity on the July 14, 2006 edition of Friday Night Smackdown! when she won Sgt. Slaughter 's Diva Boot Camp hosted by Mike Mizanin. Controversially, however, she is said to have jumped over the tire hop section of the course and both of her feet did not cross the finish line, due to her doing a split (in which she split her tights in a humorous moment). On the August 11th edition of Smackdown!, Layla won the Diva Search Talent Show when she did a dance dressed as a scantily clad police officer.

On August 16, 2006 Layla won the 2006 $250,000 WWE Diva Search, officially granting her the covetous title as being "The Sexiest Woman on TV."

Trivia

• Layla is the first non-Caucasian Diva to win the Diva Search.
