Pennsylvania Route 10 (PA 10) or State Route 10 is a 49 mile (79 km) long state route in southeastern Pennsylvania. PA 10 runs parallel to Interstate 176 for less than 13 miles (21 km) near Morgantown. Its southern terminus is at Pennsylvania Route 472 in Oxford. Its northern terminus is at U.S. Route 222 Business in Reading.

===Chester County===

The southern terminus is of PA 10 is at an intersection with PA 472 in Oxford. Then about 2 miles north east of Oxford, it meets the Kennet-Oxford Bypass (US 1) at an interchange. In Upper Oxford Township, PA 10 meets with PA 896 which enters the state of Delaware and connects to US 301. 2 miles north of the intersection with PA 896, PA 10 meets with PA 926, a local route in the Chester County area. In West Fallowfield Township, PA 10 meets with PA 41 which also heads into Delaware. In Parkesburg, PA 10 meets with PA 372. A few miles north of the PA 372 intersection, PA 10 meets the Lincoln Highway now signed as U.S. Route 30 in Sadsbury Township. In West Caln Twp., PA 10 intersects PA 340; PA 340 is refered as The Old Philadelphia Pike. North of the intersection with PA 340, PA 10 meets with the 28th Division Highway, which is US 322 in Honey Brook.

Lancaster County

Note that PA 10 slides over into Lancaster County for less than 5 miles and enters the only township in Lancaster County which is Caernarvon Township. Near the Berks County line, PA 10 merges with PA 23.

Berks County

In Berks County, PA 10 enters with a duplex with PA 23. West of Morgantown, passengers can see a ramp from southbound I-176 which no no access from PA 10 because is a one way ramp going south. The duplex with PA 23 comes to end in Morgantown. A mile north of Morgantown, PA 10 meets the southern terminus of I-176 and an enterance to I-76 the Pa Turnpike. PA 10 intersects exit 1 of I-176 and the Morgantown (298) exit of the Pa Turnpike. North of the I-76/I-176 interchange, PA 10 will parallel I-176 for most iof its routing. In Robeson Township PA 10 has a short duplex with PA 568 and has an interchange with I-176 at exit 7. In Cumru Township, PA 10 has a very short duplex with PA 724 which is called Philadelphia Avenue. PA 10 terminates at an intersection with US 222 BUS in Reading. If passengers take US 222 BUS North, they will find US 422 at an interchange.

History

From 1935 to the late 1950s and early 1960s, The current PA-10 designation was U.S. Route 122 for most of its length. PA-10 was first signed from 1928 to 1930 on the current U.S. Route 119 alignment between DuBois and Blairsville. The current PA-10 was signed in 1956. Then in 1963, the northern terminus was moved from Pennsylvania Route 23 to its current location.
