I generally dislike [[continental philosophy]] and am generally more interested in [[analytic philosophy]]. Since my interest in philosophy mainly concerns [[political philosophy]], my interests are reflected in the [[user:c_mon/Politics|politics]]-section. My position is somewhere between [[left-libertarianism]], [[political liberalism]] and [[Analytic Marxism]]. I dismiss the [[anthropocentrism|anthropocentric]] and [[cosmopolitanism|nationalist assumptions]] of contemporary philosophy. |

On the important metaphysical issues ([[God]], [[creation]] etc.) I prefer to remain [[agnostic]], which is the only defensible philosophical position. |

* [[John Rawls]] & [[Ronald Dworkin]] - very bright liberal icons |

* [[Philippe van Parijs]] - his real-libertarian defense of a UBI still fascinates me. Great writer as well. |
