outing is outing regardless of where or who posted it. You are not allowed to out editors EVEN FOR the purpose of a COI and it's absurd mental gymnastics to say "oh we never made a direct accusation we just strongly implied this user's real name". Our policy on this is clear: "If redacted or oversighted personally identifying material is important to the COI discussion, then it should be emailed privately to an administrator or arbitrator—but not repeated on Wikipedia:" |
