Azure is the upcoming third album by American singer-songwriter Devin Young, with a unknown release date by DistroKid. The album serves as the follow-up to his second album Advantage.

Background and release

On December 12, Devin signed a deal with record label DistroKid so he can upload his music to streaming services, later uploading seven songs from his discography to streaming services, including top 10 hits Perfect Lover, make up, and Is It Just Me, with the latter becoming the first new single to be uploaded on streaming platforms. This was announced on February 19. ^[1] Devin started writing and recording the album on December 28, 2020. He announced the album, revealing the cover art and title, on February 16, ^[2] while announcing the release date on April 15. ^[3] The album marked as his first album release with DistroKid after releasing his first two albums independently on streaming network YouTube, however he later announced that he uploaded his two albums on streaming platforms, along with 2 extended plays for two of Azure’s singles. ^[4]

Singles

Two singles were released in promotion of the album. The lead single, "Is It Just Me?" was released on February 5, 2021. Originally, the song was released on January 2nd, 2021 as the lead single to a planned deluxe of his second album "Advantage". However the deluxe edition of the album was later canceled, and the song was re-released instead. A lyric video was also released following the song’s re-release on February 22. The song received positive reviews from fans, calling it his best single to date. The song was commercially successful, peaking at 2 for 4 days on the Daily Stats for Spotify charts, only being blocked by British-Irish boy band One Direction’s "Best Song Ever", which spent 17 days at the summit. The song became his highest charting song, surpassing Perfect Lover, which peaked at 5. This is Not The End was released as the second single off the album on April 19, 2020. The song also received positive reviews from his fans. It debuted at number 31 on the Stats for Spotify chart, becoming Devin’s sixth entry on the chart.

Other songs

Same Mistakes was released on March 25, 2021, as a YouTube exclusive. The song received positive reviews. The song was meant for the album, before being scrapped, and was later included on the Is It Just Me EP on streaming platforms.
