Hi Mingus. I'm thrilled someone else is putting in some effort into the Iran-Arab relations page - and yes, I totally agree that it does need a massive amount of work. At present, i'm trying to put together something on the ancient relations (there isn't very much out there) as i figure many more contributors are familiar with the 20th C. period. I'm also going to try to find a couple sources for the Bahrain section. Let me know if you need a hand with any sections... Welcome on board! :-) Databot |

Hey, everybody: this page (Iran-Arab relations) still needs plenty of work... If you're interested in the subject, and have the time to kill, by all means head on over. --Mingus ah um |

Nice start to this article, don't forget to add the NovelsWikiProject tag to the talk page when you can. : Well... I really can't take credit for the page in question, but I have contributed a substantial amount of work to the author's page (that is, John le Carré). Regardless, I'm glad to hear that the Novels WikiProject is making good use of my bookstubs... --Mingus ah um |

==Re: Begin== |

No worries! It is an important topic which deserves discussion, and someone needs to disprove Sangil’s outrageous and biased claims intelligently as you have been trying to. Too bad though that this has deteriorated into such a tiring exchange of blows. In any case, I refuse to answer the challenge of a quotation war as it is a simplistic and populist way of discussing history, and after all, our discussion is no longer about the Irgun but rather one’s willingness to accept other opinions. I will add my final post later today. Thanks for your support! Amirig 10:17, 25 May 2006 (UTC) |
: I understand Amirig may not agree with my views, but I hardly think they are "outrageous and biased" -at least acknowledge they are quite well supported by the views of signifacant British individuals - unlike Segev's, err, Amirig's views. |
: Regarding "Post-Zionism" - some of what you say regarding these guys may be true, but still they have little in common with the views you have attributed to them (i.e. "happily accept the existance of an Israeli state, but oppose blatantly expansionist policies"). I also think that regarding a large part of the Western World, especially in Western Europe, it can (unfortunately) hardly be said they are disagreed with. Denying Israel's right to exist has become quite a fashionable thought among the Left-Wing Liberal intellectuals. I guess it's a bit hard to see that from the States... |
:Regards, and take it easy on the coffee ;-) |

Dear Mingus, you see the issue of Waldheim is difficult. He was in the SA after 38 but in how far this was out of free will is difficult to tell. This membership is certainly not the substance of the allegations. The change of category is a good solution to this. I am sorry you must have misuderstood my intention. I deleted it from that section because I wanted to diffuse the information into sections where context was discussed, like the prisoner subpage. After I realized that it would take more time than necessary, I reinserted the info back. I will return to that section when I have more time. I should apologize too, I am still treating the article a little bit like it was my own pet project when I was rewriting it. I will put small explanations in different parts. Guy Montag 04:02, 14 July 2006 (UTC) |

Please feel free to evaluate the Libya article which has become a 'Featured Article Candidate' and write you support or opposition on Wikipedia:Featured article candidates. :Thank you for replying to comments made on the Libya Candidature page regarding Libya's ties with the west & the "turning a new leaf comment". I was quite angry that POV issues were raised against the page as I tried my damn HARDEST to keep the article neutral. I'm glad that somebody else agrees of the fair usage of the term "turning a new leaf" |

== Libyan municipalities == |
I don’t think the table you inserted is helpful. It’s already available in the main article on the topic and it does not say much about the topic. Stuff that might be more useful: |
*<del>Is there a map anywhere that reflects the current situation?</del> <ins>User:Jaw101ie fixed that.</ins> |
:<del>Even a map that’s not perfect but can be used (i. e. is correctly licensed) and does reflect the new division would be a start. A map of what was there before, however, is not really an improvement, imho.</del> |
*Also, some general information might be nice: |
**Which political/economic competencies lie with the municipalities as opposed to the upper and lower levels of government? |
*:Education/transportation/defence… (These are just examples of what might be relevant; I have no clue about them.) |
**What is the influence on national political and economical dynamics (if any)? |
*:Economic disparity/regional political movements/regional industries/… (For the last two cases, only those which are nationally notable, and then only one or two examples, with the rest in other articles.) |
**How are individual municipalities uniquely different from each other (possibly with some examples)? |
*:E. g. while most municipalities, like <math>X</math> and <math>Y</math>, are …, municipality <math>Z</math>… |
Not all of that stuff should be in the section, but I hope this gives you a general idea of what to write. A section of two sentences and a table is not so great. —xyzzyn 22:17, 19 July 2006 (UTC) |

: Hello, |
: I see the next, and in my view, final objection with the Libya article is the copyediting. Please if you have time, choose a section or two and sift through them (Geography and religion seem to be in need). Culture, Politics and History have basically been done by other editors. |

I find it interesting that you did not choose to block the other user involved in this revert war; he had also reverted the article three times before I made the statement that you have quoted. Furthermore, the statement was made when it was clear that he was not willing to consider changing his own (POV pushing) edit. |
The man cannot even name a single secondary source in English to back his position up. |
Whatever happened to be bold? Would this have been any different if the two of us were determined to fight the same war but only with two edits a day? |

:Really don't worry about it, |

:I preveiously asked different people to edit different parts and now the page seems to contain different styles. I'm going to try to approach one experienced editor to copy edit the WHOLE thing in his/her style. Thanks anyway, --User:Jaw101ie 15:11, 23 July 2006 (UTC) |
