His Grace Bishop Meghrig Parikian (Armenian: Մեղրիկ Բարիքեան) (born 3 January, 1968 - 16 January, 2021) was an Armenian Bishop who served in the Armenian Apostolic Church under the jurisdiction of the Holy See of Cilicia.[1] Prior to his death, Bishop Parikian was the Dean of the Zarehian Seminary in Bikfaya, Lebanon.[2]
Priesthood
Parikian served as the Parish Priest of St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church in Toronto for 12 years.[3]. He was then elected as Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada by the lay council on May 10th, 2014[4][5]
Death
Meghrig Parikian passed away after a short illness on January 16th, 2021.[6] His final unction was held on January 17th, 2021 at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Cathedral in Antelias, Lebanon. [7]. He was laid to the rest in the Holy See of Cilicia Brotherhood Cemetery in the Catholicosate of Cilicia.[8]
