Nick's RfA

Sable, thank you for your support in my RfA. I was actually surprised that you supported me, and I hope everything in Wiki is going well. I can promise that I won't go too insane with my SysOp privelleges. And I hope I still keep everything in the real world great. I'll try to help with that. Nick.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I was pleasantly surprised. Seeing your talk page it can be seen that you make great efforts to be helpful in a positive way. People who will take time to contribute to the "greater good" should be admired. I aspire to be more like that some day. Perhaps Wiki will allow me to do a little something at least in a small way. Kindest regards. Mike CCL.

I live near and work in eastwood and I am or oriential desent. Is this not a good enough source???? Please kindly re-instate what was deleted.

contribution

Thank you for your message and helpful hints. I am new to contributing to Wikipedia and am learning. I will check and add sources used for the article and attempt to understand Wikify

smile!

Just a good o' smily  ;-)
Thanks you for giving me a head up! Nice to meet ya'!

No problem - I'm sure your motives were positive. I didn't know about "signing on as an IP" - indeed I still can't really grasp the concept - but I realise that I should have logged in using my username before editing anything. I still don't really understand how wikipedia works - edits are not automatically attributed to the person making them, it seems (cf. attribution of posts to Usenet or web boards) - so I was trying to "claim" my comment without realising that it could be mistaken for impersonation. Never mind, I live and learn. How do I set up a disambiguation page, btw? There is a page called "Parliamentary Debate" which is about competitive debating in schools, yet most adults (in the UK at least) would assume that the term referred to debates in Parliament. I've suggested it on the Talk page but it's clearly not a very widely-read page, so I thought I'd try and sort it out myself ... Cheers.

I wrote the original article and all in it is verifiable. I don't know why it was rewritten.

"personal attacks"

these people are attacking the validity and popularity of my site, so i'm not going to mince words. if they're going to delete me then they will, i don't care. these people are basing their opinions on terrible reasoning and i'm straightening them out.

i really don't see....

what the big deal is. it's not like i just posted a link to my site and that's it. i went through the process of listing all of it's notable attributes. i think these people are basing their opinions on the fact that they've personally never heard of it. i've done everything myself and haven't had the luxury of having advertising money like myspace, so i think a little credit is due for something that came out of sheer will and determination.

Thank you!

  • I'll no doubt have some questions soon, so thanks again for the warm welcome!

Hello

Question: those cookies look nice. How can i get my hands on some of them? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iqraboy (talkcontribs)

RFA thanks

File:IMG 3666border cropped.jpg Thanks so much for your support on my RFA, which closed successfully this morning with a result of (64/3/3). I will be stepping lightly at first trying to make sure I don't mess up too badly using the tools. Any further advice/guidance will be gratefully accepted. I hope I will live up to your trust! --NawlinWiki talk contribs

Beranabus Artical

Beranabus from the demonata should get an artical. He is a main character!

Sorry.

It won't happen again. Just screwing around to see if I could. I'll add comments next time.

Your advice / comments please

Hi Again!

I have made a few contributions in various forms including new or edited articles, and have asked for and received permissions for text and images, and up-loaded images for use in an article I am working on. Would you please review and let me know if I am doing this right? -particularly the copyright for images.

Also, I have a couple of subpages I use as my own "sandboxes" and experiments. I would like to delete these when I am finished - how do I do that?

Kindest Regards,

Mike CCL

Talk Page

can users create extra talk pages? I am Amrykid ,Elite wikistudent and I approve this message.

It looks like the deletion police are trying to circumvent a previous AFD again. See Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:List of media personalities who have vandalised Wikipedia. As you voted keep, could you cast your vote again? - Ta bu shi da yu 23:09, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya Srose. User:Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington rolled back my message, I'm afraid, so I rolled back again. I'm not sure if you would have caught my message, however on the off chance you didn't I put it back again. Sorry if this causes any disruption or annoyance! If you get a chance, could you make a comment of the MFD? Thanks! - Ta bu shi da yu 11:26, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I never "voted" keep - or delete - in the prior AFD. I merely commented that vandalised may be spelled with an "s" or a "z." As the MFD has now closed, I will not be participating. Srose (talk) 15:50, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I still thought you might want to contribute. I call it voting, even though it's not "voting" in the normal sense. Apologies if I annoyed or upset you in any way! - Ta bu shi da yu 16:03, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

March days

What's your opinion on adding this? since the whole article is made to attack Armenians, other sources state otherwise.

"The brutalities continued for weeks. No quarter was given by either side: neither age nor sex was respected. Enormous crowds roamed the streets, burning houses, killing every passer-by who was identified as an enemy, many innocent persons suffering death at the hands of both the Armenians and Azerbaijan's. The struggle which had begun as a political contest between the Masvat and the Soviet assumed the characters of a gigantic race riot."

  • It looks good by all means; it's cited and certainly NPOV, reflecting the atrocities committed against both sides. :) You may not need to add the whole thing, of course, just so that facts are not repeated too much. Srose (talk) 00:43, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed theres already this, "The brutalities continued on for weeks. Enormous crowds roamed the streets, burning houses, killing every passer-by who was identified as an enemy. The Armenian archbishop Bagrat wrote a letter to the Armenian mission in Baku, explaining the March Events. The letter began with the usual accusations that the Azerbaijanis, being the disciples of the Turks and the Germans, could not be trusted. Having thus disposed of the Azerbaijani version of the events, Bagrat stated that the battle was waged by the Musavat and the Soviet, while the Armenians remained neutral." but since its just smushed in there i can add mine instead since this one does not have citations.
