The 2021–22 BIBL season is the 13th edition of Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL). 10-13 teams from Bulgaria, Israel, Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia will participate in the competition.[1]
Teams
First round
Ten teams drawn into two groups consisting of five teams each. Teams from the same country will be draw in different group. Peja will be drawn into a group with two teams from North Macedonia due to traveling schedule. Teams play against each other home-and-away basis. The teams placed 1st, 2nd,3rd and 4th from each group will advanced to the second round.[1][4]
During September, the league management announced the addition of two teams to the first round.[5][6] On October 6, the league management decided to take Peja out of the tournament since Peja refused to confirm the competition's official schedule as well as fulfill all their financial obligations towards the league in the deadlines set.[2]
Draw
The draw took place on 26 August. The Ten teams was divided into 5 Seeds and drawn into two groups of five.[1]

Second round
The results between the teams from the same groups in the first round shall be carried forward into this rounde. the nine teams will be divided into new three groups of three teams each by a draw base on the results from first stage. Teams play against each other home-and-away basis. In case three teams from Israel will advance from the first stage, two of them will be placed in the same group. Hapoel Holon will be put in a group with 2 teams from the Balkan. The teams placed 1st and 2nd from each group together with the two best 3rd placed teams will advanced to the Quarter-Finals.[4]

Quarter-Finals
A draw will take place following the conclusion of Stage 2.
The winners of groups C, D and E and the best second placed team will be placed in pot 1 while the other four teams in pot 2. In case three teams from the same country are to be placed in pot 1, the team with the worst result will be exchanged with another team from different country with the best result not seeded and one of the Quarterfinal pairings will consist of teams from the same country in order to avoid having three teams from the same country qualify for the Final Four. Teams will play games on a home and away basis to qualify to the Final Four. The four winners will qualify for the Final Four.[4]
Final Four
the Final Four games will be composed of two semi-final games, third-place game and FINAL game. In case two teams from the same country qualified to the Final Four they will play against each other in the Semi Final otherwise a draw will be made to determine the two pairs of the Semi Final games.[4]
