Alexey Morosov (Russian: Алексей Викторович Морозов) a sculptor and painter born 1974 in Bishkek (Frunze) USSR. A graduate of the V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute, faculty of sculpture (studio of Leo Kerbell) 1999. Director of Moscow Academic Art College (MAXY) from 2013. Member of Russian Academy of Arts (RAA) Presidium from 2014.[1] He lives and works in Moscow and Lucca, Italy.

His work is held in the collection of the State Russian Museum[2] and the Museum of the New Academy of Fine Arts of St. Petersburg.
PONTIFEX MAXIMVS, exhibited in Naples and Moscow (2016-17). Morosov’s work is notably appreciated for an association with antiquity in particular the use of the Caryatid.[3][4][5][6]
Public Works
The monument to the founders of The Moscow Art Theatre, Konstantin Stanislavsky and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko, was created by Morosov in bronze and granite and unveiled in 2014 adjacent to the theatre.[7][8][9]
