Note: Please check the above template for what time it is in my location before sending a message as I may be asleep.
Note 2: When it is April fool's day, DO NOT TROUT ME as an April Fool's joke. In the past I had a trout button which I removed due to persistent abuse of it. If you trout me on april fool's day I will revert you and warn you for vandalism since I will not find it funny.

Wikibreak

So as I'm sure some people have noticed, I'm going to attempt to take a break from Wikipedia. My reasoning is I feel that I've become addicted to Wikipedia and it's been affecting my real life as it's become sort of a distraction. I've also been making a lot of stupid and easily avoidable mistakes lately that I feel might be due to my Wikipedia addiction which has caused me to feel a need to interact with every little thing on here. I'm not taking a break in an attempt to hide from my mistakes, but to help me make fewer of them. I know that we are all humans and that we will all make mistakes, however, sometimes you can make too many mistakes. During my break I will occasionally check my talk page or make a few minor edits (as in grammar or spelling fixes in articles), but I'm mostly going to try and stay off of Wikipedia until I feel that I'm ready to return. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:32, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, take your time. Panini! 🥪 14:21, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I like your user name. My spirit animal is a wolf, and I am addicted to pretty much all things wolf-related. Also, if I may add, (not to be rude or anything), but Wikipedia seems like a strange addiction to me. Not like, say, a video game or anything. But you do you. Hey I am very sorry about this situation! Recently my passwords have been hacked and stolen by a few of my late friends. I have taken this to the police in order to sort this problem out, so please be patience with me and understanding!
Also please don't block me from editing Wikipedia Articles, I need this for school and job purposes.
I'm not sure if this message will even reach you so please be understanding as I am trying to sort out who did this, because it wasn't me!
Kind Regards, Alaska Smith

Re: revert

I literally use the software? I was part of the initial beta test of stickers before it changed to the current system. Im not sure how you expect someone to cite something like that in a software considering most things on discord don’t get public announcements except via the in-app changelog. —CitroenLover (talk) 12:06, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@CitroenLover: "I literally use the software" That's called WP:OR. Other updates in that passage have sources. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 12:54, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how to reverse page editing can you please tell about this 😞 Inoxent AR (talk) 18:58, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I was put on a global block list in January for “abuse” which I don’t understand because I’ve never made any contributions or edits to Wikipedia. In fact, I was hospitalized for most of the month so this makes me think my accounts were hacked. I know I’m still able to read articles, but I don’t take kindly to being accused of something I didn’t do, and for no reason. Please unblock my account. Thank you. Error with your userbox

Hallo, I'm not sure if you want it removed or not, but there is a userbox on your page which is currently a dead link. (Specifically User:UBX/Waiting for UV.) I'd assume you do want it removed, but I thought it wiser to notify you so you can rectify it if you so choose. Réunion (talk!) 16:21, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Reunion: Thanks for letting me know! DIdn't know that userbox was deleted. I'll go ahead and remove it. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 16:27, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. :) Réunion (talk!) 16:28, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Hope8384 on Wikipedia:Signatures (18:33, 12 May 2022)

Hi, Was just wondering why I’ve been blocked from making edits when I’ve never attempted to make any. I use Wikipedia for research topics and recreational interests. Also, for a time I noticed I was in something called a “sandbox”. Can you clarify? --Hope8384 (talk) 18:33, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Hope8384: Hello Hope! I'm not sure what you mean. My guess is you were briefly logged out and your IP address was blocked from editing. As to why you were on a sandbox page I can't help you with that. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:36, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There was no Azeri latin alphabet 600 years ago. Stop inserting it on the Habibi page! There was an Azeri Arabic alphabet, so leave it — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.149.162.172 (talk) 15:11, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Golden: Is this a sock you've dealt with before? If so then WP:BANREVERT applies and I'll continue reverting them. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:17, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Blaze Wolf: Yes, I deal with this person's socks on a regular basis. I reported him 6 days ago at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/ClassicYoghurt but no admin has yet checked it. I recommend waiting until they are blocked before reverting because they will keep reverting you if they are not blocked. — Golden call me maybe? 15:24, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Golden: Sounds good. Thanks for removing their personal attacks. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 16:52, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Rv and Rv

Thanks for reverting that. It was indeed a mistake which is itself a part of another big mistake. About crosswiki antivandalism, I could say that anyone, no matter how many languages they speak, can become a patroller. Becoming a crosswiki patroller means that you know what you're able to revert, and what needs further investigation or should be taken care by local users. That's it. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 19:23, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh: Am I still misunderstanding? Wouldn't it make sense for a vandal to be vandalizing in the language of the Wiki (since they most likely speak that language if they found it)? ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:33, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The most common and simple type of vandalism are test editing, inserting nonsense/gibberish, blanking and promotion, all of which are not language-sensitive. Do you get it now? NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 19:36, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh: Sort of. I don't quite understand how those aren't language sensitive (besides blanking which is obvious, you're removing stuff) since those seem like it would be in the language on the wiki. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:38, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
For example, you can safely revert edits that bolds a loooooong sentence or even the whole paragraph as they are, by definition, test edits, remove things that are truly incomprehensible in all human languages like ienowv newovnw v, and keep an eye on, say, a new user adding multiple links to their user page, next to a photo of themself smiling at the camera under which lies a line that states John Doe, SEO expert or something similar. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 19:47, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh: Alright. I know there are some languages that seem like complete gibberish to me but is something meaningful. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:49, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Just don't scare of making mistakes. Be bold, and have fun. If a local user leave a message saying that you reverted an edit incorrectly, thank them with all your heart and learn how to stay away from that mistake next time. People can be interestingly stupid at some points, yet they can still be great persons in their own capacity. Remember that, it's your ability to learn that matters. Hello, I managed to find a solid source online related to exactly why those portraits were misattributed, please check my source. If I did something wrong with the source, please tell me or you can fix it yourself. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.174.98.241 (talk) 14:48, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

City of Niš

Hi, could you please stop reverting changes made to the City of Niš article? Numerous articles of Serbian cities have been changed and suggestions have been made that origins of their names come from Albanian/Proto-Albanian language and the references cites in those articles all come from Albanian institutions and authors. I come from the City of Niš, I know the history of it very well and Albanian people were never a majority here. I respect Albanian people and it's scientist, but I'm afraid that in this case, references made in the article are not true and objective and I don't think they should have precedence over scientific research made by Serbian scientific institutions, considering the article is about a city in Serbia.

I look forward to hearing your point of view. --BadBot22 (talk) 17:55, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@BadBot22: Please discuss this on the talk page of the article. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:57, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Discussions have been made, but I don't think there was any success in protecting the article from these changes. That is why I messaged you. Even the history of Niš article has been changed by Albanian user and again that was referenced with citations from Albanian research institutions. --BadBot22 (talk) 18:03, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@BadBot22: I will not discuss this any further on my talk page. Either you discuss it on the article's talk page, or you deal with how it is. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:07, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize if I'm bothering you, but by reverting changes to the article you are a part of the problem. Why didn't you revert the changes made by Albanian users when they were made? I will discuss about it on the talk page of the article and I hope you will be a part of the conversation. --BadBot22 (talk) 18:27, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@BadBot22: I see no Albanian users that made unconstructive changes to the article. If you wish to continue contributing to WIkipedia, please change your username since usernames that imply your account is a bot account are not allowed. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:31, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, I wasn't aware of that rule. As per the changes - how can changes made by Albanian users with sources from Albanian institutions cited have precedence over citations from Serbian research institutions about a Serbian city? It just doesn't make sense.

Response to comment left on my talk page

Hello there, Blaze Wolf. On the page for Totalitarianism, I explained the removal of the content. The citations that Foorgood keeps restoring are all highly contested and controversial pieces of work, most of which share the personal opinion of a historian or political scientist, rather than just historically factual and neutral information 108.35.72.233 (talk) 19:56, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit on Sweden

Hi Blaze. I have on the Sweden Page removed an out-dated opinion-article because: "Editorial commentary, analysis and opinion pieces, whether written by the editors of the publication (editorials) or outside authors (invited op-eds and letters to the editor from notable figures) are reliable primary sources for statements attributed to that editor or author, but are rarely reliable for statements of fact." - WP:Reliability

Not research. I have replaced it with an update with links to 3 recent major studies on the subject. That is research.

Best regards, PN

PS: I am new to this conflict. So I don't know how this whole thing of writing on each others pages work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Policynerd3212 (talkcontribs) 19:59, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
