[1] [2] Edit summaries are not a place to make forum-y comments, any more than talkpages are. Yes, there's room for a little flexibility in edit summaries (I know I've stuck stray thoughts into ESes every now and then), and if it had just been the first diff I wouldn't be writing to you, but making a cosmetic edit with an edit summary that comments on a living person's appearance is not okay.
