*'''Support'''. I believe a November 12th date would make the most sense. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe the "most recent" part is for larger categories (so in this a television show in general and not just a Disney Channel show) to avoid having multiples in a short run. I believe the most recent would be [[Head over Heels (American TV series)|''Head over Heels'' (American TV series)]] on October 28, but there is enough of a gap and both shows are significantly different enough that it should be fine imo. Wizards of Waverly Place is an American fantasy teen sitcom created by Todd J. Greenwald that aired on Disney Channel for four seasons between October 2007 and January 2012. The series centers on Alex Russo (Selena Gomez), a teenage wizard living in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, who undertakes training alongside her siblings, Justin (David Henrie) and Max (Jake T. Austin). The Walt Disney Company commissioned the series to continue its successful line of comedies in the 2000s. Wizards of Waverly Place enjoyed high viewership in the United States; its series finale was the most-watched final episode of any Disney Channel show. A television film adaptation, Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie aired in 2009 and was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's Program. Wizards of Waverly Place won two additional Emmys, in 2009 and 2012 respectively. Television critics praised the show for its humor and cast; Gomez's affiliation with the network led to a prominent musical career apart from the program. (Full article...) (Full article...)

  • Most recent similar article(s): The most recent appearance of a Disney Channel series was Hannah Montana, which appeared on July 5, 2022.

  • Reasons for nomination: The show has is considered a classic Disney Channel series with a significant worldwide appeal (the article appears in over 40 language versions of Wikipedia), as well as the notability of its star Selena Gomez (the topic should have worldwide interest as a TFA). At Wikipedia:WikiProject Disney, it is classified as "high importance". The article was promoted in September 2022, and this would be my fourth TFA. Possible date: November 12 (the anniversary of its final season premiere); unfortunately I missed the option for October 12.

The one issue I can see is that at WP:TFAP there is already a request for Ernie Fletcher, a former Ernie Fletcher on that date.--67.70.24.37 (talk) 23:54, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
