Spanish first team squads
Hello Isaiah. I have initiated a discussion on how to present Spanish first team squads on WP:football´s talkpage. I think we should distinguish the actual first team squad (nos. 1-25) from players registered with a reserve team who have been given first team numbers (26-), since the latter are not technically members of the first team. I have twice tried to make the distinction on the Real Madrid page only for it to be changed back. I thought maybe you would have an opinion on the subject and would be thankful for your comment. Sebisthlm 16:30, 22 August 2007 (UTC) P.S. First!
:Thanks, I'll definitely make my thoughts known there. Actually you weren't first, you were third, but when I was first starting out here, about a month ago as a serious contributor, I didn't realize I should just go ahead and leave all of the comments others had made (didn't know archiving was possible), but you can claim the first prize if you really want it. ==Manual of Style for club season articles==
As you have contribute to club season articles, I believe this and this are pretty much of your interest.--ClaudioMB 15:51, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

translations
Hey, do you mind if I help out with the Club Deportivo Los Millonarios translation? I have moderately good Spanish (I'm an advanced Spanish student), and can understand most all of it, if not every word. If you don't want/need help, that fine, but if you could reply on my talk page, I would appreciate it. justice 02:54, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

:: I understand. My machine's been freaking out too, for some reason. I was thinking I'd post questions on the discussion page of the page you have the working translation on. I already started (if you didn't notice), and anything I'm pretty unsure about, I replaced with ?????. I like wikipedia, and I really need some pratice with my Spanish, so I'll probably work on it frequently. If you could just check any of the work I do for errors before adding on to it, that would be helpul. I don't entirely trust myself. ;) But by all means, do your own translation work too, I'm not asking you to let me do all the translation and you just edit my work. == Leo Messi ==
Regarding your edit http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lionel_Messi&diff=next&oldid=163315035
For 2005/06, my count for the number of league appearances is 15 and not 17, which I too found (possibly wrongly) mentioned in some other sources too. I think we need to confirm and settle on either 15 or 17. Messi first played on match-day 6 and last on match-day 22, after which he got injured for the rest of the season. 22 - 5 is 17. But i think he missed match day 7(due to deportivo controversey on EU status and his returning late from argentina duty) and was also not named in the squad for another league match making the count 15.

:You are correct. Thanks for the clarification. Apparently it was a calculation mistake from my side, which a source seemed to confirm. Verified your list with another source too. Seems to tally. So that matter is put to rest. Thanks again. --Su30 11:39, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Bojan Krkić
Why do you want to put his mother's name in the article? His name is Bojan Krkić, named after his father. // laughing man 03:10, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

As I am sure you are aware, every non-free image on Wikipedia has to be accompanied by a Fair Use rationale for every page it is on. As no such rationale has been placed on :Image:Jayhawks logo.png or :Image:FC Barcelona Crest.png for your User page, they must be removed. I have been nominated for an RfA. As a fellow football enthusiast, you may have come upon my edits some time in the past. == Spanish player names ==

Hello Isaiahcambron! I see you have been very busy contributing on Spanish football. Good work!

I just want to remind you that names of player articles should be the name of which the player is most commonly known as in English (per WP:COMMON). I know that you have two surnames in Spain (and sometimes more), but only the surname that the player uses should be used in the article name. If a player uses an artist name only that name should be used in the article name. If articles need to be disambiguated, use (footballer) (or (Spanish footballer) or (Spanish footballer born 19xx) if necessary). In accordance to this I moved the article you created at Pedro Santa Cecilia García to Pedro (footballer) and Jesús Manuel Bravo Suárez to Chus Bravo.

Now, I know that user:Raymond Cruise create a lot of red links with player's full names in squad lists (and I've tried to bring this up with him without any success) so I know it's easy to just click a red link and create a page with the wrong name, and that's why I bring this up with you so I don't get twice as many pages to move. I also try to change all red links to link to the correct name of a future article.

Again, good work! Respectfully, Sebisthlm (talk) 20:16, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

:I know the name problem pops up in other places when you name articles by artist names (such as Pedro (footballer)). If you look at how they do with all the different Smith footballers at Cat:English footballers. As you see this system won't always result in shorter article names, but it makes finding players in lists like these easier. So, in the case of Pedro I would suggest Pedro (Spanish footballer) or since there probably are several of those Pedro (footballer born 1987), but I know those cases are tricky, and I haven't always followed that standard myself.
