History

Chespirito, a famous Mexican actor and comedian known for his sketch shows and series, created the 1970s sketch comedy show, Chespirito. The show contained many of Chespirito's creations. One of his creations was El Chavo. The Chavo sketches started to appear in 1972, near the sketch shows' final years of the first season. The show was cancelled but El Chavo was given his own TV show to continue off of Chespirito, alongside El Chapulin Colorado. The sketch show of El Chavo started in 1972 but the independence show began in 1973 with a bigger cast. The main character was El Chavo. Chavo was created by Chespirito so he can make characters for kids. El Chavo was depicted as an 8 year old orphan who lived in the "Neighborhood" where he would cause trouble to his neighbors. Throughout the series, Chavo has become less poor and more active. The character started to become famous around Mexico, Central America, South America, Spain and the United States. El Chavo became one of the most famous Mexican characters of all time and eventually he got into 1st place. The show ended in 1979 but Chavo still returned in the second season of the Chespirito show after the 8 year gap. Chavo has still gotten to his roots and has become one of the most famous characters of all time.

Fictional Biography

Chavo was born to some unknown parents. They died when he was 4 years old so his grandmother had to take care of him while he lived in a place called the "Neighborhood". Chavo kept a diary with him so he could write the stuff in his life throughout his childhood. Once he and his grandmother got into house 8, she had adopted a boy named Vicente. Chavo and Vicente became best friends until Vicente and Chavo's grandmother died of an illness. Chavo was left alone and he ended his diary entries and kept them in a secret place. Chavo soon ended the secret place and left his diary in House 8. He lived in a barrel but sometimes he would go back to his home in the 8. New neighbors started to come and they had children. Quico and Chilindrina were a few examples and they befriended Chavo. Chavo then had a nickname named "Chente"as respect toward his former best friend, Vicente. Chavo turned 8 when he met his new best friends and they lived together. Chavo had his first adventure "fighting" a Junkman and he soon got into hiding from the neighborhood's owner, Senior Barriga. The hiding ended and only lasted for a couple of minutes. Chavo then participated in the first "Party of the Good Neighborhood". Chavo then misbehaved sometimes around the adults but he soon behaved again. Chavo then kept on going with his adventures and he eventually met El Chapulin Colorado at a costume party and in the Neighborhood. Chavo has gotten in a few crossovers with Chespirito's other characters such as making a Thank You party for Chespirito. Chavo then got into his own cartoon and he lived on until he got a new life.
