The Fyappiy[1] (Ingush: Фаьппий, romanized: Fäppiy Chechen: Ваьппий, romanized: Väppiy) is an Ingush society.[2] The centre of the society is the village of Erzi (Ärzi),[3] located in today's Ingushetia. According to the teptar of the Aukh vyappias, they once lived in the village. Tarsh. In the 17th century, the vyappia society was divided: some of its representatives went to Georgia, and some to Aukh. According to M. M. Zyazikov, the cultural center of the Aukh Veppians is the capital of the mountainous Caucasus of the Metskhal Shahar - the village of Erzi[4]
