Ren Gill (born 29 March 1990) is a Welsh singer-songwriter, rapper, poet, producer and multi-instrumentalist. He is known as Ren as a solo artist, and as a member of The Big Push, a band known for their street music in Brighton.[1]
Life
Through a crowdfunding campaign, Ren received expert treatment for his illness,[2] in 2016, he was able to continue his work in music on a self-pay basis.
Recognition
Ren became widely acclaimed after his self released video for his song "Hi Ren" received over 5 million views in a month. He was named as one Atwood Magazine's 2023 Artists to Watch[3] and Gareth Branwyn wrote about "Discovering the intense, refreshingly unique music of Ren" in Boing Boing.[4]
