Until the end of the 18th century the locality belonged to the Electoral Platinate. Between 1798 and 1814, as the Palatinate region of the French republic (until 1804) and afterwards a region of the French Empire, Musbach – as it was writtten as the time – was incorporated into the Kanton Neustadt (Donnersberg) and had its own town hall. In 1815 the locality was annexed by Austria. Already one year later the locality became part of the Kingdom of Bavaria, along with the rest of the Platinate. |
