Someone was congratulated for figuring out how to spell a character's name, yet it's wrong. It seems fans have unilaterally decided that バンコラン is "Bancoran" and マライヒ is "Maraich," yet there is no official English release of either the manga or the anime as far as I know, and these spellings contradict Maya's own words about where he got the names from. バンコラン came from the protagonist of of several John Carr works, "Henri Bencolin." マライヒ is a character in the Maurice Leblanc novel "813," and that character's name is Louis de Malreich. Unless someone can provide an official source from either Maya or the publisher, I don't see why we must continue repeating errors that probably originated in an unauthorized fansub in the 1980s. Incidentally, the Japanese Wiki page on the character claims the "Bancoran" spelling is "official" while pointing out that the origin is "Bencolin," yet it provides no reference for the claim. I have asked for a source, but don't expect to be provided one. [[User:Rachel Thorn|Rachel Thorn]] ([[User talk:Rachel Thorn|talk]]) 01:55, 27 September 2023 (UTC)

Maraich.

A huge thanks to the person who figured out how the heck his last name was supposed to be spelled!

Also, I had changed the spelling of マライヒ to "Malreich" throughout, but then decided to revert the edits until a consensus is reached.
