Mario TJ Cassela (born 22 October 2004)[1] popularly known as Trio Mio is a Kenyan rapper, singer and songwriter.[2] He rose to fame in 2020 with his hit song “Cheza Kama Wewe”, which became a popular anthem among the youth.[3] He has collaborated with other prominent Kenyan artists such as Mejja, Exray, and Nellythegoon.[4]

Early life and education

Trio Mio was born in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2004 to a father of Italian and Congolese descent and a Kenyan mother.[5] He completed his high school education in 2022 and sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams in November 2022.[6]
