As I mentioned on the talk page, I reinstituted the subsection organization and included an explanation. I'm glad you found the notes helpful; that's my goal! To elaborate, I'm a lurker at ANI, and I usually look for situations where de-escalation could help everyone involved walk away satisfied. It doesn't always work, but if it prevents an argument from spilling over into blocks, I think it's well worth the effort!

Does that answer your question more fully? If not, I'd be happy to continue discussing. Thanks, EducatedRedneck (talk) 22:46, 29 January 2024 (UTC)

SoF duplicate section

[1] nah, you don't own section headers and your request for someone to "check with you" isn't reasonable. Everything doesn't need to be a fight, FYI. VQuakr (talk) 20:43, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No fighting happening on my end and I don't see it as a duplicate, only similar. Isn't it just common courtesy, respectful and kind to ask the editor who started the section if they mind a formatting change? It wouldn't have taken any time to ask and it wouldn't have been seen as a hostile move to do so, either. Asking is perfectly reasonable. Nothing is going to break, nothing is urgent about this discussion so that what you did needed to happen at that moment. Also, I have no illusions of owning anything in Wikipedia. Please AGF with me from here on out. It would be appreciated AND build a bridge rather than continue to tear it down further. A4M2 Alaska4Me2 (talk) 20:49, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There have been no lapses of WP:AGF. Why do you feel this needs two sections on the talk page? VQuakr (talk) 21:03, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There's no AGF when you accuse someone of believing they own section headers; there's no AGF when you accuse someone of battling about everything. My intention with the new section was to create a new discussion as the other one became bogged down with enough flotsam that anything new introduced would be lost, sucked into the copious amount of debris. There are some very valid points raised in the new section. Anti-Jewish sentiment and bias being one. To call a film Christian that didn't get marketed as Christian and doesn't mention Christianity once, rather it does mention God, is leaving out an entire faith structure (Judaism) when it doesn't have to be that way. "Faith-based" solves that problem well, fairly, and from what I can see, in Wikipedia fashion. A4M2 Alaska4Me2 (talk) 22:03, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You need to read WP:AGF, then. What you're describing regarding being "bogged down" is better solved with a subsection than a section, which was the fix I performed that you reverted. VQuakr (talk) 22:15, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't agree with you on either point. A4M2 Alaska4Me2 (talk) 22:18, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I suppose you have a right to be incorrect if you wish. What I care about is the resulting behavior, for example ceasing to revert talk page maintenance actions. VQuakr (talk) 22:29, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't realize you are a "gatekeepr". ;-) A4M2 Alaska4Me2 (talk) 22:35, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
