Name-giving
I guess that the brainstorming session had a topic to find a name for "Ionity North America" without violiting the exsting brand name for Ionity. Ofcourse, there is no evidence for that. EV Connect
Seth Cutler has been COO at "EV Connect" which have a number of partnerships with makers of charging stations.
