Zarin Shihab is an Indian actress who appears in Malayalam and Hindi films and television shows.[1] She was known for her breakout role in the 2019 spy thriller series The Family Man, where she played Sahaya Mary, a nurse crucial to the show's plot.[1][2]

Early life

Zarin was born in Uttar Pradesh and later moved to states like Assam and Karnataka due to her father's job in the air force. Hindi was the first language she learnt to read and write. She enrolled in the IIT Madras for a five-year-long integrated program in MA English, furthering their passion for language and literature and later spends seven years in Chennai for acting, writing, and directing plays.[1][3] She has a twin sister named Nazrin Shihab.

Career

Zarin Shihab made her Hindi debut in the 2019 spy thriller series 'The Family Man,' which garnered significant attention. After that she got prominent roles in Bollywood films like Rashmi Rocket directed by Akarsh Khurana and 2022 film, India Lockdown directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. She was also gained as well as the TV series ‘Jugaadistan,[4] She marked her Malayalam debut with the romantic comedy "Thrishanku," portraying a naive young girl who elopes with the wrong person. She later earned acclaim at film festivals for her performances in the Malayalam films B 32 Muthal 44 Vere and Aattam[5], where she depicted characters confronting workplace harassment.
