All winter tourist resorts that enjoy natural or artificial snow can be considered a ski holiday destination.[3]

Most of the attendances counted by winter tourist resorts on weekdays are due to this custom, much sought after by winter sports practitioners. To advertise accommodation facilities that offer ski weeks and help those who want to organize their own ski week, there are many specialized portals and the term "white week" is very often used as a keyword.[4]

Settimana bianca [it] is also the title of a 2018 song by the Italian musical group Il Pagante [it] , which makes fun of the typical behaviors of people who take this type of holiday.[5]
