Rex Balsom is an actual person on the American daytime drama One Life To Live, as portrayed by John-Paul Lavoisier since May 2002.

Character History

Rex was first seen in 2002 when newspaper heiress Jessica Buchanan went to Michigan to find what she thought was her biological brother. Rex, a money-hungry schemer, soon came to Llanview to mooch off Jessica. Throughout the years, Rex has evolved from a shady bad boy to a multilayered white knight, making him one of the show's most popular characters to come along in the new millenium. Also making Rex popular with fans was his on-again/off-again relationship with Jennifer Rappaport, which ended for good in May 2005 when Jen was murdered by Daniel Colson.

Currently, Rex is involved in the Spencer Truman murder mystery. Recently, Bo Buchanan discovered him holding the blood stained scissors that were used to stab Dr. Spencer Truman to death. Rex and Adriana Cramer are currently holding the secret to the identity of Todd Manning's son,who is none other than little TJ who was adopted by Michael and Marcie McBain. Meanwhile, a famous pitcher by the name of Tate Harmon has appeared on the scene, and looms ready to steal Adriana from Rex.
