Shapr3D is commercial parametric solid modeling CAD software built by a company of the same name, that is focused on the Product Design and Manufacturing industry.

Shapr3D runs on the Siemens Parasolid modeling kernel[1] and is available for Windows[2], macOS, iPadOS and VisionOS.

Company

Shapr3D was founded in 2014 by Istvan Csanady[3], and the company is based in Budapest, Hungary. Shapr3D is a venture-backed company, and has raised from firms such as Point Nine, Creandum, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development[4].

Features

Shapr3D organizes features into 3 major spaces:

3D Modeling

  • History-based Parametric Modeling or Direct Modeling workflows
  • 2D Sketches and constraints
  • Importing from or exporting to other CAD formats

2D Drawings

  • ISO and ANSI standard compatible drawings

Visualization

  • Adding materials and customizing lighting through a drag and drop interface
  • Exporting to Webview
  • Exporting to AR formats
  • Opening for preview and collaboration on Vision Pro[5]
