[[Andrzej Panufnik|Andrzej Panufnik’s]] Piano Trio it is his first work 1 and the only surviving pre-war composition. This trio is a reconstructed work as all his scores written before 1944 were burnt down in the [[Warsaw Uprising]]. Panufnik decided to reconstruct three of his compositions from memory of which includes his Piano Trio (the other two are: Tragic Overture for orchestra and Five Polish Peasant Songs for unison soprano voices and woodwinds).

Panufnik's Piano Trio No.1 is a reconstructed composition originally written in 1934 and later reconstructed in 1945. All of Panufnik's works written before were burnt down in the Warsaw Uprising. He later decided to reconstruct three of his works from memory.
