The Good Plastic Company is a manufacturer of sustainable surface materials that was founded by William Chizhovsky.[1] The company’s main product line, Polygood, comprises 100% recycled and recyclable plastic panels for furniture and interior design.[2][3][4] The company's customers include Nike, Adidas, McDonalds, Samsung, and MMozer.[5][6]

History

The Good Plastic Company was established in December 2018 with a focus on the use of recycled plastics for design and architecture.[7][8] In 2019, the company established its first manufacturing facility in the Netherlands, and the company started investing in R&D.[9] By 2020, the company had developed custom patented CE-certified production lines and launched its first distributor, Polygood France, to adapt to the growing demand in the French market.[10][11] In 2021, The Good Plastic Company expanded its manufacturing operations with a larger facility in Ukraine.[12][13]

It processes over 1,000 tonnes of recycled plastic panels annually and has over 1000 projects worldwide. For large companies, The Good Plastic Company explores technologies for recycling their own plastic waste. It also introduced proprietary press machines to produce large-scale panels.[14][15][16][17][18] The company secured its first major clients. A Spanish distribution network was also established in 2021 through Revolución Limo.[19][20]

In 2022, the company scaled its production capacity to 280 tonnes per year.[5][21]

Distribution was expanded to the UK and Ireland through CDUK, a supplier of solid surface materials and complementary products.[22] It also achieved several certifications, including Cradle to Cradle, an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), VOC A+ and ISO certifications of the company's processes. The company partnered with Danube Group to expand into the Middle East and with Omni Future of Surfaces to enter India.[23][24][25][26][22][27]
