Katie White OBE is the Labour party's parlimentary candidate for Leeds North West in the 2024 United Kingdom general election.

Career

As an advisor to the Labour Party she contrinuted to what became the Climate Change Act 2008 and in 2009 worked with the UK goverment to prepare for United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.[1] She then went on to work at the newly created Department for Energy and Climate Change. In 2019 she began working at Nord Agnlia Education, leading their charitable foundation.[2]

Candidacy

Following a hustings in Novemeber 2023, White was selected as the Labour Party candidate for the next general election;[3] which would later be called to take place on 4 July 2024.

Awards

White's campaigning work led to her being granted an OBE in 2013.[2]
