Biography
Green grew up in Tel Aviv-Yafo with his single mother and twin brother. He attended A.D. Gordon School.[citation needed]
In 2006, while in his last year of high school, he worked at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and started the first workers' council in Israel’s restaurant industry due to labor law violations. He was fired but reinstated after a court petition, leading a six-week strike that resulted in the first collective agreement in the industry.[citation needed] In 2011, Green was a leader in the social protest, organizing large rallies and co-founding a social movement with Stav Shaffir and Yonatan Levy. He was arrested twice during protests in 2012 but was acquitted of all charges.[citation needed]
Standing Together
In 2015, Green co-founded the "Standing Together" movement, a Jewish-Arab movement promoting peace, equality, and social justice. In 2018, he led protests against the "Basic Law". later on, he advocated for raising the minimum wage to 40 NIS per hour.[1]
In 2023, after the 2023 Hamas-led attack on Israel, Green advocated for a ceasefire and a hostage deal to end the war. He also participated in the "movement's humanitarian guard", protecting aid trucks coming to Gaza from attacks by right-wing activists.[citation needed]
